Bailey Wins Award for WC Dominance

He may only be 18, but Michael Bailey of the San Jose State Spartans has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Western Conference.

The reliever was today named the WC Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2031.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 31 saves in 52 relief appearances and 48 strikeouts in 65 innings. He had a record of 5-2 to go with his 0.83 ERA.

He received 92 first place votes out of a possible 96. Max Kiene of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Ken Edwards of the Nebraska Corn Huskers finished third with 3 first place votes.
