Stony Brook Takes College Divisional Round 1 Tuesday, September 23rd , 2031 The sweet swing of Ryan Bowles has led his team through the College Divisional Round 1. The Stony Brook Seawolves star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns to advance to the College Divisional Round 2. The Seawolves won the final game at Joe Nathan Field by a score of 7-5 and the series 2-1. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Bowles. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Bowles hit .385 with a .385 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Stony Brook Seawolves will play against the Illinois Fightin' Illini in the next round. Illinois won their series against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 2 games to 0.
