Kim Stretches Hit String to 20
Friday, June 27th , 2031
The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 7-3 to the Portland Pilots, but Sung-jae Kim continued to hit like a god.

The right fielder collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.

"Kim is playing great and is on fire right now," Lumberjacks manager Scott Wagner said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."

Kim was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss."
Sung-jae Kim struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off José Romero in the 7th.

This year Kim is hitting .340 with 16 home runs and 40 RBIs in 66 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .398 with 24 walks and 60 runs scored.
