Hit Streak Now at 25 for Allen Friday, June 20th , 2031 Jacob Allen, first baseman for the Central Florida Knights, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 5-4 victory today over the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at Jay Bergman Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Jacob Allen struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off George Bennett in the 7th. So far this year in 60 games Allen is hitting .362 with 21 home runs, 47 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
