32-Game Hitting Streak for Medrano Monday, August 23rd , 2032 The Biloxi Pelicans fell to the Springfield Isotopes in The Lockar Room today, even as 22-year-old center fielder Andrés Medrano upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 32 games. Medrano finished with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the Pelicans from dropping the 9-6 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Medrano. Andrés Medrano singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Presently Medrano is batting .378 and has collected 6 home runs, 72 RBIs, .442 OBP and scored 99 runs. |
