SL's #1 Batter Chosen Thursday, July 1st , 2032 When Humphrey Soethout stepped up to the plate in June he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Scott League Batter of the Month award. The young Carlsbad right fielder posted a .420 batting average with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 28 runs. Soethout also worked pitchers for 19 walks to post a .527 on-base percentage. Thus far this season Soethout is hitting .366 with 13 home runs, 67 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He has 101 hits in 276 at-bats and has played in 71 games. |
