Wolfe Slams 3 Homers for Clippers Friday, June 11th , 2032 Wayne Wolfe went on an explosive hitting spree against the Oakville Yellow Jackets at Mama Mia Pizzeria Stadium today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Rochester Clippers to the 5-2 win. The left fielder finished 4-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Wolfe said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Oakville skipper Erubiel Durazo said Wolfe was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Wayne Wolfe singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Javier Correa in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Javier Correa in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Tobias Lagerveld in the 9th. This season Wolfe has hit at a .234 clip and produced 27 RBI, 9 home runs and 32 runs. |
