Hit Streak Now at 20 for Johnston Wednesday, May 26th , 2032 David Johnston, first baseman for the Omaha Defenders, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 10-9 victory today over the Maui Legends at Sportman's Park today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Maui manager Scott Downs said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." David Johnston singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. To date this year Johnston is batting .314 with 6 home runs. |
