Hot Bat Cooled, Roberts Hitless Against Orcas Friday, May 21st , 2032 Jon Roberts went 0-for-4 at Cyclone Alley today to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 21 games. The 22-year-old Miami first baseman failed to get a hit today in the Towers 7-6 victory over the Bristol Orcas at Cyclone Alley. Roberts did not make himself available to reporters after the game. "I think Jon is a little upset," Miami manager Frank Green said. "He'll get over it." So far this year Roberts is hitting .318 with 5 home runs. |
