5-Hit Game for Sawada Wednesday, May 12th , 2032 Santa Clara catcher Masami Sawada had a big day at Rough Rider Stadium today against the Jackson Aces. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the 1777 to a 6-4 triumph over Jackson. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Sawada said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Masami Sawada singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
