Baas Sizzles -- Smokes Cardinals for 5 Hits Wednesday, September 3rd , 2031 Wichita left fielder Foppe Baas put on quite a show at The Citizen with a big 5-hit day in the 23-7 victory over the Shelby Cardinals. "Not a bad day at the plate, 5-for-5," he said in the postgame interview. "Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average, and my salary, too." Foppe Baas doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mu-sang Chong in the 5th and singled in the 6th.
