Baas on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Wednesday, September 3rd , 2031 Foppe Baas hit for the cycle and paced the Wichita Wind Surge to a 23-7 victory over the Shelby Cardinals at The Citizen today. The Wind Surge left fielder led the way for his club with 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- along with 3 RBI and 5 runs. "Now that I know what Foppe is capable of, I'm going to expect it more often," Wichita manager Dale Ward joked with reporters after the game. Foppe Baas doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mu-sang Chong in the 5th and singled in the 6th.
