July's #1 Hurler Announced: Samurakami Wins Award Friday, August 1st , 2031 One of the Boze League's hottest pitchers last month did his work late. Boise reliever Manabu Samurakami held opponents to a .190 average and was named the Boze League Pitcher of the Month today. Samurakami rolled out 8 saves in 8 save opportunities and a 3-0 mark with 12 strikeouts in 12.1 innings. For the month he had a 2.19 ERA. Looking at his pitching stats this season, Samurakami has made 42 relief appearances, pitched 43 innings and fashioned a 6-2 record with a 3.14 ERA.
