Mugs Collier Snags BL Player of the Week Monday, July 7th , 2031 Truckee fans have something to crow about today as Truckee shortstop Cam Collier nabbed the Boze League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Collier. He posted a .611 average (11-for-18) this past week with 1 home run, 3 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. For the season Collier is batting .298 with 70 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 35 times and batted in 33. |
