Year Ends for Wouter de Weever in Rochester Tuesday, June 17th , 2031 The doctors have spoken and Wouter de Weever of the Rochester Clippers didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. de Weever sustained his season-ending injury during the Maui Legends game yesterday at Biscuits Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Rochester medical staff reported de Weever had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months. Currently de Weever has 10 relief appearances, saving 0. His record is 0-1 with 5 strikeouts in 10.2 innings and a 8.44 ERA. |
