IL Announces June's Best Starter Friday, July 1st , 2005 Zack Greinke of Durham had a tremendous June with a 4-0 mark and was chosen the Pitcher of the Month in the International League. Greinke restricted opposing hitters to 22 base hits and a .175 batting average. He rang up 34 strikeouts in 36.1 innings of work, surrendered 11 walks, and crafted a 1.98 ERA. Up to now Greinke has recorded a record of 6-0. In 10 starts he has fanned 62 batters in 68.2 innings with a 1.70 ERA. |
