Lind on Fire: Burns Richmond with 3 HR

For Adam Lind, it was not an average day at the ballpark.
Fans at The Diamond watched Lind power the Charlotte Knights to a win, 8-7, over the Richmond Braves, blasting a trifecta of home runs.
"I've always loved hitting in The Diamond," the center fielder told reporters following his big day. "You can see the ball so well."
For the game, he collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 6 RBIs.
Adam Lind singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Brandon Backe in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Brad Sullivan in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Brad Sullivan in the 10th.
So far this year, Lind has 11 home runs and a .254 batting average.

Rogers Makes it Official, Will Retire

A spokesperson for the Toledo Mud Hens today confirmed that Kenny Rogers will not be back next year. The Mud Hens reliever has decided to retire.
To date in Rogers's career he has no saves with a 31-24 record and a 4.34 ERA.
