Great Month Gets AL Top Rookie Trophy Sunday, August 1st , 2032 Leandro Guimares is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Anderson League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In July the Oklahoma City hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .308 average with 32 hits, 8 home runs and 22 RBIs. This year Guimares has hit at a .302 pace and produced 77 RBIs, 19 home runs and scored 56 runs. |
