300 Homers for Cabrera Thursday, July 29th , 2032 The Echo Park Lakers had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 7-3 decision to Winnipeg. The reason -- the splendid slugger Orlando Cabrera hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at Staples Center. "I'm fortunate to be here," Cabrera told the media after the game. "The Lakers have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them." Cabrera is hitting .314 during his 1468-game career.
