Beckett Spectacular in 5-0 Win Sunday, September 4th , 2005 Josh Beckett of the Anaheim Angels was lights-out while 1-hitting the Seattle Mariners. "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go," he told BNN reporters after the contest. Beckett registered 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in shutting out Seattle, 5-0. Checking out his stats for the season, Beckett has racked up 18 wins and 7 losses in 30 starts, posted a 2.24 ERA, and struck out 224 batters in 213.1 innings.
