Trouble in Cincinnati, Farnsworth Suffers Setback Monday, August 29th , 2005 Things have gotten worse for Kyle Farnsworth of the Cincinnati Reds. The 29-year-old closer will not be back as soon as originally expected. Farnsworth is undergoing treatment for a strained triceps, but his doctors have expanded his recovery time to at least 3-4 weeks. An unidentified team official told BNN, "Kyle tried to rush his rehab and suffered a setback." This year, Cincinnati reliever Farnsworth has made 41 relief appearances and has 26 saves. His record is 2-4 with 57 strikeouts in 44 innings and a 3.27 ERA. |
