Ward Celebrates Birth of New Baby Monday, August 22nd , 2005 Jeremy Ward has a pretty good reason to miss a game: the birth of his child. Ward left early this morning to return home to be with his expecting wife. "I talked to him a little while ago", commented Guardians manager Charlie Manuel. "He was as excited as a new father can be." Ward is expected back in uniform in a couple of days. |
