Daniel Cabrera Hurls No-No Against Los Angeles
Monday, August 8th , 2005
In a dominant outing, Daniel Cabrera of the San Francisco Giants totally silenced the bats of the Los Angeles Dodgers, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the 2-0 victory, Cabrera faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 7 strikeouts and 4 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," San Francisco manager Dusty Baker said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Jim Tracy told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.

"The Giants had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Cabrera pitched a heck of a ballgame."

To date this season, Cabrera is 6-9 with 24 starts and an ERA of 4.11 with 105 strikeouts in 140 innings.
