VBL Best Rookie Award Announced Friday, July 1st , 2005 He might be new to the league, but David Bush of Pittsburgh is a player. He proved it this month with a sensational 4-1 won-lost mark and impressive 3.32 ERA. For that strong performance Bush was named the Virtual Baseball League Rookie of the Month. In June he started 6 games, tossed 40.2 innings, yielded 36 base hits, fanned 24 and walked 9. Opposing hitters combined for a .231 average against him. This year, Bush has compiled a 8-4 mark with a 3.55 ERA in 17 starts. |
