Young Torches Braves for 5 Hits Friday, June 17th , 2005 Michael Young had an answer for everything the Atlanta Braves threw at him at Turner Field. The Detroit shortstop went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Tigers a win, 4-3. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Young said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Michael Young hit a solo-shot off Azael Alvarez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Azael Alvarez in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
