Furcal Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Tuesday, June 14th , 2005 Braves third baseman Rafael Furcal has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 1-for-4 in today's game against the San Diego Padres. Atlanta won the ballgame, 4-1. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Rafael Furcal flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. In 22 games this season, Furcal is batting .393 with 33 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 17 runs and driven in 8. |
