League Divisional Series Goes the Distance, Savannah Prevails Saturday, October 13th, 2018 With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Savannah Fighting Bananas have eliminated the Toronto Red Birds and are League Divisional Series winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the League Championship Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said shortstop Starlin Castro, who was named series MVP. Savannah won the final game by a score of 10-0, wrapping it up at Molson's Queen Lizzie Field. Castro's big series saw him hit .394 with a .412 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Savannah Fighting Bananas will play against the Nashville Predators in the next round.
