The Omaha Bandits wasted an impressive 6.1-inning effort from starter Jorge Montés, falling 2-1 to the Daniel Brand A's at VBL's Best Ballpark. Kevin Smith picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Orlando Bradford was tagged with the loss. The win puts Daniel at 23-38.

Daniel took a 2-1 lead on Jack Giraud's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Omaha pitcher Orlando Bradford in the bottom of the eighth.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Omaha manager Mal Reeves.
