Kavanagh Socks 2 Home Runs in 10-4 South Side Win
|
Getting offensive support from John Kavanagh, the South Side Enforcers topped the Kansas City Scouts, 10-4. Kavanagh hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Enforcers. Jerry Lefebvre got credit for the save for South Side. It was his 6th of the year. The Anderson League Sabathia Division-leading Enforcers have a record of 101-54.
Kavanagh contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for South Side in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Kavanagh took a slider from MacKenzie Gore and stroked the home run to right. His 14th home run of the season allowed the Enforcers to leap in front, 3-1.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Kavanagh said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
