Pineda Leads Union to Win
The exploits of designated hitter Francisco Pineda, who finished 4th in the NL in slugging percentage with .535 in 2030, helped the Kittanning Union defeat the Napoleon Dynamites, 8-2. Pineda was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The triumph puts Kittanning at 32-19 for the season.

Pineda had a key at-bat for Kittanning early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and gave Kittanning an early 3-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Pineda told the Kittanning Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
