Bugaboo Creek Hot Streak Continues with 5-2 Win
|
Starting pitcher Lee Myers was a major factor in the 5-2 Bugaboo Creek Caribou triumph over the South Side Enforcers. In 6.1 innings, Myers surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Mario Pereira recorded the save, making him 8 for 11.
Bugaboo Creek used the clutch hitting of Dane Scarlett to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Caribou the lead, 4-0. For the game, Scarlett had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Bugaboo Creek manager Scott MacRae.
This win makes it 7 in a row for Bugaboo Creek.
