Despite a fine performance by center fielder Druw Jones, the Oklahoma City Cyclones lost to the Puerto Rico Tropics, 6-5. Jones went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Puerto Rico pitcher Alex Valéncia got the win. He's now 4-2. Ipe van Meggelen was tagged with the loss. Miles Dijk picked up the save for Puerto Rico, his 35th of the year.

José Carlos Saldaña, who finished 2nd in the AL in slugging percentage with .570 last year, aided the Puerto Rico cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter drew 2 walk.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Saldaña said.
