The Austin BigStars bested the Shelbyville Reds, 10-0, at Pete Rose Field. Charles Dawson was one of the standouts. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Juan Guerrero got credit for the win, improving to 10-9. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 6.2 innings. With the win, the BigStars improved to 81-54.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Shusaku Takabayashi? The Austin catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the BigStars on top, 2-0. For the game, Takabayashi had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
