Zier Kneepkens never let the Bandits get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Reds to a win, 2-1. Getting the save was Rafael García, his 7th. The victory makes Shelbyville 13-31.

Shelbyville left fielder Pedro Ortíz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 48th hit of the season and put the Reds ahead, 2-1.

"Zier did a tremendous job," said Shelbyville manager Ken Benton.
