On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Stratford Cosmos team, the Cooperstown Camels had a tough assignment. Red Turner delivered.

The Camels third baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 6-1. Turner, 35, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Cooperstown now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

In the bottom of the seventh, Stratford were in rally mode. The score was 6-1, Cooperstown, with one out and the bases loaded. But on a 1-1 pitch, Steve Robinson hit into a double play.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Lockar Room in Stratford.
