The Toronto Blue Jays converted a terrific effort from starter Barry Zito into a win over the Minnesota Twins at SkyDome. The Blue Jays won the game by a final score of 5-1. The 4th-place Blue Jays have won 4 in a row.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Jayson Werth put Toronto in front, 3-0, with a 2-run single. The Blue Jays went on to win the ballgame.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Toronto manager Buck Martinez.
