White Sox Tag Red Sox with 5-1 Loss
|
Chicago beat Boston on the strength of starting pitcher Mark Buehrle's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. The White Sox go to 63-91 with the win.
Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Joe Borchard to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said Boston manager Robby DeHaan: "They just got the better of us."
