Expos Suffer 6-2 Setback
|
Due in large part to first baseman Troy Glaus, the Anaheim Angels sunk the Montreal Expos, 6-2. Glaus was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. The 5th-place Angels have a record of 88-64.
Anaheim used a timely hit from Willy Aybar to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Angels ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Glaus told the Anaheim Gazette.
