Winnipeg Goldeyes starter Tony Soto was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Stratford Cosmos, 3-2. Reliever José López picked up the win. His record improves to 8-2. Steve Reed took the loss. The win gives Winnipeg a season record of 65-62.

Jesús Reséndez was the walk-off hero for Winnipeg. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Goldeyes pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"We found a way to get it done," Soto said.
