Cumberland Gets 5-4 Win
The Cleveland Spiders got a superb performance from pitcher Gilberto Martínez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Cumberland. The Copperheads won the game, 5-4. Martínez threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Javier Medrano earned the win for Cumberland. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 8-11. Cumberland is now 67-56, Cleveland 65-58.

Tim Aubin, the 20-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Aubin contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Cumberland up, 2-0.

"I still think this team can play even better," Aubin told the Cumberland News.
