Devil Rays Fall to Douglass and Orioles, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 25-year old right-handed pitcher Sean Douglass was the difference-maker. The Baltimore right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Jesse Crain recorded the save for Baltimore, his 4th of the season. The Orioles, at 64-76, sit in 19th place in the Virtual Baseball League.
Sean Douglass was masterful. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.2 innings.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Baltimore manager Mike Hargrove.
