The Omaha Bandits defeated the Shelbyville Reds, 3-1, in Nied League action at iField @ Berkshire Hathaway Park. Omaha pitcher Ron Ingram had a standout performance. Ingram picked up the win for Omaha, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-9. Shelbyville has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Omaha grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Jae-woo Kim delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Bandits.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Ingram. "Successful pitchers do it."
