Predators Win, 4-3, at Napoleon
|
The Nashville Predators had to overcome a fine effort from Napoleon pitcher Luca Fitt to grab a narrow 4-3 win at South End Stadium. Fitt went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Nashville reliever Tony Baker picked up the win, upping his record to 7-3. Luca Fitt took the loss. The first-place Predators, at 77-45, now lead their division by 10½ games.
Nashville used the timely hitting of Edgardo Hernández to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Predators on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did enough to win," said Hernández.
