Chipper Jones put on a hitting clinic as the Anaheim Angels dumped the Kansas City Royals, 13-1, at Kauffman Stadium.

The Anaheim left fielder made Kansas City defenders earn their pay, lashing Kansas City pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Jones said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Chipper Jones singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sidney Ponson in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Zach Duke in the 8th.
