Miguel Tejada impressed in the 5-4 Montreal win over Cincinnati. Tejada, who is tied for 9th in the VBL in RBI with 99, was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Montreal reliever Matt Ginter picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. J.C. Romero absorbed the loss. Montreal, at 59-72, holds down 20th place in the Virtual Baseball League.
Tejada had an important at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a 2-run single. The Expos went on to win.
"We ground out the win," said Tejada. "That's all that matters."
