South Side designated hitter Gonzalo Martínez had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Death Valley Buzzards, 7-3. Roberto Sánchez picked up the win, improving his season record to 10-1. He struck out 8 in 5 innings. The save went to Rob Bowling, number 2 for him.

With South Side leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Martínez hit a cutter from Júlio Rentería for a grand slam home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Enforcers ahead, 7-2.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Martínez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

South Side has an impressive 76-36 record.
