Cyclones Come Up Short at Death Valley, 4-3
Death Valley Buzzards starter Iván Soto pitched a strong game against the Oklahoma City Cyclones at Hell's Gate, leading the Buzzards to victory, 4-3. In 6.2 innings, Soto surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Josh Hader was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 28 save opportunities.

Willson Contreras aided the Death Valley cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.
