Nakazo Ozaki had a good game, but he could not keep the Austin BigStars from falling, 8-6, to the Puerto Rico Tropics at Roberto Clemente Park. The Austin right fielder went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Puerto Rico reliever Eric Martell picked up the win to move to 3-1. Donovan Straughan suffered the loss. The Tropics go to 59-48, putting them third in the Anderson League Smith Division.

Edwin Jackman made an early impact for Puerto Rico when he stroked his 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came with two out in the bottom of the second, put the Tropics on top, 4-0.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Jackman, "one at-bat at a time."
