Blue Jays Lose at Home, 7-3
|
At SkyDome, the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
No one was more impactful than Aramis Ramirez in the 7-3 Oakland win over Toronto. Ramirez, who is tied for 3rd in the VBL in total bases with 200, went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Mark Mulder got the win, improving to 10-5. He worked 8.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0.
Early in the game, Ramirez had a 2-run home run for Oakland. It was his 27th home run of the season and put the Athletics on top, 2-0.
Ramirez called the win "a team effort."
The Athletics are now 49-35.
