The Border City Buck$ and Kittanning Union played an exciting game.
The Border City Buck$ picked up a win at Legion Field, taking down the Kittanning Union, 3-2. Starting pitcher David Kennedy was a big reason why. Sergej Versaal picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-4. Sergio Gonzáles was tagged with the loss.
Rubén Rivera, who is a two-time All-Star, helped out the Border City cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Kittanning manager Dan Haley.
With the victory, the Buck$ record now stands at 35-38.
